Devonport Folk Music Club meets every Monday, and some other nights, at the historic command post, "The Bunker" on Mt Victoria, Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand.
The best local and visiting overseas singers and musicians are hosted at our Club Nights and Concert Nights making it a good inexpensive night out in the company of friends.
Please take note of door charges as they may vary for concerts, and please bring cash only.
This programme is subject to change. It is always a good idea to ring first if there is something special you want to see - it is essential to book early for concerts, as space is limited.
Although access to vehicles on Takarunga/Mt Victoria is restricted, this does not apply to our members and visitors to events at the Bunker. Please park in parking areas available on the side of the road as parking on the tihi (summit carpark) is forbidden.

Monday 2nd THEME – COWBOY SONGS – Yee-ha, saddle up and bring your pony up the hill for a
night of folk songs from the wild west. Members $5 non-members $8
Monday 9th POMAHAKA-TYNE – or you might recognize them as Janet Thomson & Helen
Douglas, bringing you an evening of traditional songs and tunes from Scotland, Ireland
and Northumberland, with guitar, Northumbrian small pipes and whistle.

Sunday 15th FIRE IN THE MOUNTAIN 7–10pm: last night of the year for congregating around the
log fire. Bring your instrument of choice and join the group. No charge.
Monday 16th CLUB NIGHT – floor singer welcome to take the stage. Members $5 non-members $8
Monday 23rd SHANTY NIGHT – our MARITIME CREW will lead the singing, but plenty of room for
you land-lubbers to share your own marine experiences, Members $5 non-mbrs $8
Sunday 29th BUNKER HILL UNPLUGGED – always a popular night with Micheal Young’s selection
of songwriters in the spotlight. $10 cash at the door.
Monday 30th CLUB NIGHT – two songs each from floor singers. Members $5 non-members $8

Monday 7th DEREK LIND – winner of two NZ music awards, Derek is an artist, teacher, and songwriter,
influenced in blues, folk and rock. Members $5 non-members $8
Monday 14th CLUB NIGHT – come one, come all and try out your favourite songs on a listening audience.

Monday 21st ENDA KENNY IN CONCERT – bouncing back over from Oz with his instantly memorable songs

Monday 28th LABOURING SONGS – .Hope you spent your Labour Day weekend practicing up some hard-
